Jamal Musiala debuted with a stellar performance in the UEFA Nations League. The Bayern Munich winger added 1 goal and 3 assists in Germany's 5-0 win over Hungary and continues to emerge as a possible luxury reinforcement for FC Barcelona
Germany debuted in the UEFA Nations League with a home win against Hungary (5-0), with a stellar Jamal Musiala. The 21-year-old player confirmed his status as a 'crack' with 1 goal and 3 assists to lead the comfortable victory for the 'mannschaft'. While the Bavarian team is speeding up its renewal, FC Barcelona and other 'big players' in Europe remain very attentive to the evolution of the winger.
And, although he has a contract with Bayern until June 2026, Barça still dreams of Jamal Musiala for the future. The 21-year-old winger is already listed for around 130 million euros on Transfermarkt and, if he chooses Barça as his next team, he could form a lethal duo with Lamine Yamal, a player with whom he is often compared. The German international prefers to play on the left wing, which is why he would have no problems sharing a team with the Barça youth player.
However, Bayern is not willing to risk the future of its star and the board hopes to soon renew the five-season contract that the forward signed in 2021. For the winger, however, there is nothing defined for now. "I'm happy here, but in football everything can change very quickly," he recently commented when referring to his future. If his renewal is not resolved, it is likely that the Bavarians will put him on the market next summer for an amount close to 120 'kilos'.
Musiala's exhibition led Germany's comfortable victory against Hungary
The Stuttgart player assisted Niclas Füllkrug in the 27th minute to open the way for the 'little hand'. In the 57th minute, Jamal made it 2-0 with a good right-footed finish, culminating a German counter thanks to a long pass from Florian Wirtz. Nine minutes later, the '10' returned the 'favor' to the Bayer Leverkusen striker to make it 3-0. The winger would add his third assist of the night in the 77th minute, this time with Aleksandar Pavlovic as the scorer.
Wirtz closed the win with a penalty in the 81st minute that allowed Julian Nagelsmann's men to turn the page on the difficult situation that resulted in their elimination in the quarterfinals of the Euro Cup against Spain. For Germany, the Nations League schedule continues next Tuesday with the visit to the Netherlands, another team that debuted with a win in the tournament (5-2 against Bosnia).
