Angelo Stiller commented on the possible interest of FC Barcelona in signing him next summer. The German claims to be happy at Stuttgart, but does not close the door on any 'top' offer.

Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona has several defensive midfielders on their radar for the upcoming summer transfer market. In Germany, besides Joshua Kimmich, one of the players most liked by the management and coaching staff is Angelo Stiller. The 23-year-old midfielder was asked in a recent interview about the Catalan interest, a topic he prefers not to discuss for now, although he does not close the door on a future offer.

"Sometimes I get asked about it, even within our locker room. The topic does not concern me. It is a bad time to worry about this. I am at Stuttgart and that is my only goal", the German player began saying in a conversation with 'BILD'. The midfielder has a contract until June 2027 and his market value reaches 32 million euros on Transfermarkt.

Stiller, the 'new Kroos' that Barça keeps in sight

In that sense, he added: "Football is tremendously fast. You have to be careful with what you say. But of course, I imagine staying at Stuttgart. I feel the appreciation of the fans and everyone at the club; that is the most important thing for me", pointed out the 23-year-old player. Hansi Flick coincided with him at Bayern Munich, although the then youth player never even debuted with the Bavarian first team.

Stiller arrived for free at Hoffenheim in 2021 and, two years later, signed with Stuttgart for 5.5 'million'. Since his arrival at the white team, he has scored 3 goals and provided 9 assists in 59 matches. Some compare him to Toni Kroos for his playing style and striking, characteristics that have led Barça and other European giants to take notice of him. For next summer, Angelo could leave for around 35-40M€.

For the Catalans, the one from Munich remains a very interesting alternative for the pivot position, as long as the coaching staff insists on signing another '5' next summer and, of course, the club has the necessary solvency to sign under the 1/1 rule, a goal that at this point seems distant after the 'soap opera' derived from the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor.
