The FC Barcelona does not seem to have major doubts about their course of action regarding Vitor Roque's future. The striker from Timóteo arrived last winter market as an exciting alternative to strengthen the culé offensive line, not only for the present but also looking towards the future. However, after half of the 2023/24 season in which he did not have many opportunities to display his football and, when he did, he showed only 'flashes' and some interesting details, his continuity in the Barcelona squad for the 24/25 period was left uncertain.

Now, with the change of coach, moving from Xavi Hernández to Hansi Flick, the 'killer' apparently was hopeful of earning his chance to be the second top scorer of the Catalan team, just behind Robert Lewandowski. However, after a 24/25 preseason in which he saw little to no action, being rapidly surpassed by a Pau Víctor who has a notable goal-scoring affinity, it has been definitively determined that his destiny does not lie in wearing the blaugrana colors, at least for this season.

Not only that; beyond the sporting aspect, the striker also faces the fact of not being registered. It must be remembered that 'Tigrinho' could be registered halfway through the season due to the long-term injury of Pablo Gavi, a registration that ceased to be valid at the end of the 23/24 period, thus complicating the plans of a blaugrana team that seems to be juggling to register players and try to lower the wage bill. This further complicates the fate of a 'Vitinho' who will now have to look for a new footballing adventure.

At this point, Barça's expectation is to sell him, ideally, at a price higher than the €30 million invested to bring him from Athletico Paranaense. However, this seems to be a herculean task, as the clubs that have shown interest in the former 'Furacão' player, except for Al-Hilal, who is willing to make a significant offer for him and his transfer, all the others offer loan deals or what they offer for his transfer does not fully meet Barcelona's economic expectations.

The new club interested in signing Vitor Roque

In this line of thought, the latest team to show interest in the striker has been Everton, a team that, as pointed out by journalist Florian Plettenberg, presented an initial offer of €25 million plus three variables to secure the services of the Brazilian. It is worth noting that this proposal was immediately rejected since, according to the mentioned source, the Barcelona side expects to obtain between €30 and €35 million for the striker.

Now we will have to wait and see how this negotiation unfolds, as apparently both parties (Deco and Everton) are still in discussions with the aim of reaching an agreement. The option of the player joining the Premier League seems to be pleasing to all parties, but always prioritizing the transfer, as the culé club does not want to risk the Brazilian's value depreciating further in case of a poor year.
