OFFICIAL: FC Barcelona announces Marc Bernal's contract renewal

FC Barcelona and Marc Bernal have reached an agreement to improve the player's contract. The club announced this through its official media, where they reported that the midfielder has signed until June 30, 2026, when his youth stint expires, with three more optional years, that is, until 2029, thus repeating the formula applied with Pau Cubarsí.

In addition, the 17-year-old player's termination clause has gone from the 20 million euros it was stipulated before his injury in Vallecas to 500 million. Thus, once he turns 18 on May 26, 2025, Bernal will be eligible to have a commitment for a period of more than three years, a condition that is not currently allowed by the regulations for minors.

The midfielder's contract has been adjusted in the midst of his recovery after his serious knee problem, which will keep him out for the rest of the season.
