Barça begins to have a clear path in the 'plan B' operation for Nico Williams. Kingsley Coman welcomed his return to PSG, but the French would have dropped out of the 'race' for the player for a particular reason
The name of Kingsley Coman is beginning to gain popularity at FC Barcelona. The club's priority continues to be Nico Williams, even more so after Ernesto Valverde's latest statements, but given the doubts about his future, the Barça entity is working to 'cover its back' if the Navarrese finally stays in Bilbao. Luis Díaz is one of the options that Catalans like the most, but the reality is that, today, the most affordable route is the French one.
Bayern Munich wants to save his salary and has already informed those around him that he is not part of Vincent Kompany's plans, so they will have to find a new destination for him. The Bavarians have given him the freedom to negotiate with the team he wants and the footballer was offered, among others, to Juventus, PSG, Manchester City and, of course, Barça. The winger's preferred option was to return to the Parc des Princes, where he left in 2014 bound for Turin, but this alternative would be ruled out.
And according to the newspaper 'SPORT', the Parisian team would have no intention of signing their former footballer. The people of the capital closed the incorporation of Desiré Doué to the squad led by Luis Enrique this Wednesday, August 14, so, unless there was a last-minute loss in the Asturian squad, the signing of Coman would not be in the plans of the French entity.
Meanwhile, at Can Barça they continue to seriously analyze the hiring of the Frenchman as they consider it viable and interesting from a sporting point of view. From the offices of the Allianz Arena they do not take a dim view of his departure through a simple loan, but they would have set the condition that Kingsley's salary be assumed entirely by the club that acquires his services. This is where the culés have a problem, since the Frenchman would receive 17 million euros between fixed and variables, a figure that they are not willing to pay. Therefore, if the player wants to wear Blaugrana, both the Bavarians and the forward himself will have to make an effort to bring to fruition an operation that will only be contemplated in the last days of the market.
Luis Díaz, a complicated dream
Beyond all this, the Spotify Camp Nou offices are still attentive to what happens with Nico Williams, whose final decision has not been confirmed. Luis Díaz would be the great alternative to the Navarrese, but signing him is extremely complicated due to the transfer price and the competition for the forward if he goes on the market. The Colombian is a self-confessed culé and would like to land in Barcelona, a scenario that gives hope to the club, but Coman remains on the table and, if he is seriously pursued, Barça has many options to sign him.
