Gavi will be the next to finalize his renewal with Barça. The Andalusian will join Araujo and Pedri and will sign until 2031 with a release clause of one billion euros
The file of Gavi will be the next one in the 'shield operation' of FC Barcelona to be closed. Once the 'mess' of the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor is resolved, the offices of Spotify Camp Nou have accelerated to finalize the renewals of the pillars of the future of Hansi Flick's team, with Ronald Araujo being the first to sign his new link with the club until 2031.
Subsequently, Gerard Martín (2028) and, pending official confirmation, Pedri (2030), joined the Uruguayan and also extended their commitment to the institution. Now, 'TV3' has reported that the Andalusian is the next to secure his stay in the Catalan capital.
Gavi will sign until 2031
The 20-year-old midfielder has already reached an agreement with Barça to extend his contract, which expires in 2026, for five more seasons, until June 30, 2031. The signing is expected to take place at the end of this week, and the release clause will reach one billion euros, joining Balde, Koundé, Pedri, Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal as the culés 'shielded' with this exit price.
The deal with Gavi is practically a done deal, and only a few details remain to finalize the negotiations, thus ensuring the continuity of a player who is set to be the heart of Flick's project and one of the great pillars of Barça in the years to come.
