Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has entered Barcelona's agenda as one of the candidates to reinforce the left winger. Now, what is Naples' position on this issue?
Will Khvicha Kvaratskhelia arrive at FC Barcelona? This gives the impression of not being entirely clear, although the chances of this negotiation coming to a successful conclusion seem more realistic than in the past, especially given the current situation of the Georgian at Napoli.
At this point, as reported from Italy, apparently Kvaratskhelia is considering embarking on a new adventure with another team. For this reason, the player's representatives would have contacted Barcelona to directly understand their position regarding a possible transfer of 'Kvaradona', whose contract with the 'Partenopei' will end in 2027 and, so far, there doesn't seem to be any inclination to renew it, which increases the chances of him joining the Catalan club.
Napoli's stance on the sale of Kvaratskhelia next summer
Now, amid all this, what is Napoli's position? Unable to reach an agreement on his renewal due to differing opinions, as the Italian team reportedly offered around 5 million euros net (a significantly higher amount than the 1.6 million euros he currently receives), including also a release clause of 130 million euros, an issue that reportedly didn't sit well with the Georgian, as it limits the options of any interested team to activate such a clause, the Neapolitans would already have a decision on what to do regarding the future of the Tbilisi native.
In this scenario, as reported in 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', there are rumors that Napoli is considering starting to entertain offers for Kvaratskhelia with the aim of exploring a possible transfer during the next summer market.
Will FC Barcelona make a move to sign Kvaratskhelia?
In this section, two essential points gain particular importance. Firstly, the interest in Kvaratskhelia is not limited solely to Barcelona, but also seems to be attracting the attention of Paris Saint-Germain, a team that could outbid Barça in a possible financial bid. It has been mentioned that Barcelona is not willing to offer more than 80 million euros, making it clear that they will not make an offer considered excessive for the market.
Secondly, it is noted how challenging it is to deal with Aurelio de Laurentiis, a negotiator known for being unpredictable and tough. Considering that Kvaratskhelia is one of the best players in the world, it is likely that he will not allow himself to be sold at a particularly affordable price.
Now we will have to wait and see how an operation unfolds in which Barcelona has not yet actively participated with a specific offer. Apparently, the Catalan team is clear that they will not progress or present any proposal if Kvaratskhelia does not express his desire to join Barça, demonstrating his interest through some effort and pressure to tilt the negotiations in favor of the Catalan team. Will the Georgian do it? We will have to wait to find out.
