The FC Barcelona apparently received an offer of transfer by Porto by Pablo Torre. However, it did not fruit. Why? We tell you in FCBN

Calendar of FC Barcelona

One of the names that has been circulating strongly to leave FC Barcelona in the closing of the 2024-25 winter transfer window was Pablo Torre. This was not due to a desire from the club to let the Cantabrian go, but rather to the interest of several teams in acquiring the services of the '14' Blaugrana, taking advantage of his undeniable talent and his situation at the Catalan club. In the team from the City of Barcelona, he has not had many opportunities to play in a privileged midfield area due to the 'overbooking' of talented players.

One of these teams was Porto, which sought to strengthen their midfield after the departure of Nico González to Manchester City for around €60 million, of which a part went to FC Barcelona thanks to the capital gains percentage (20%) they had on the Galician midfielder. The 'Dragons' intended to acquire the services of Pablo Torre, but the winter transfer window closed without his signing being finalized, just as it happened with Bournemouth, another team eager to have the former Racing de Santander player in their squad.

The alleged offer from Porto to sign Pablo Torre

Recently, it was reported by the 'SPORT' newspaper that Porto's interest was serious. The 'Dragons' even made a proposal to start a potential negotiation. Apparently, the Portuguese offered around €8 million to sign the talented attacking midfielder.

However, despite the attractiveness of the offer in sporting terms, as Porto has been an ideal team for the development of young talents in recent years, Pablo Torre rejected it. The Cantabrian remained focused on earning a place in the Blaugrana's sporting project.

The Cantabrian continues to be part of Hansi Flick's sports planning

It is clear that, although FC Barcelona seemed willing to negotiate for Pablo Torre, there was no urgency to let him go. The option would have only been considered if the player from Soto de la Marina had given his approval.

Despite playing only about 373 minutes in 12 matches, he has rejected any transfer or loan, determined to succeed at the Blaugrana. This also aligns with the plans of Hansi Flick, who seems to count on him, especially in a market where there was no intention to weaken the squad by letting go of key players in a season full of commitments.
