Mohamed Salah's future is likely to be far from Liverpool. The Egyptian confirmed that he has not yet received an offer to renew his contract and that he is "more out than in"
At 32, Mohamed Salah is arguably the most in-form player at the moment. The winger remains the star of a Liverpool side that is sweeping through all competitions, leading the Premier League and the Champions League with 'Mo' already racking up 12 goals and 10 assists in 18 games played this season.
Despite this, the 'Pharaoh's' continuity at Anfield Road has become a real 'soap opera' in the market, since the footballer's contract with the 'reds' ends at the end of the season and he has still not received any offer to extend his contract with the team managed by Arne Slot, as confirmed by the striker himself to the microphones of 'NBC Sports Soccer'.
"It's almost December and I still haven't received any offer to stay at the club. I'm probably more out than in. You know that I've been at the club for many years and there's no club like this, but in the end it's not in my hands. As I said before, it's December and I still haven't received anything about my future," revealed a visibly upset Salah with the situation.
Salah is upset with Liverpool... and Barça is lurking
Mohamed continued his discharge and charged against Liverpool, ensuring that he was "disappointed" by the calm of the 'reds' with his future in the institution. "Disappointed? Yes, I'm disappointed. Of course I'm disappointed with the situation. I haven't seen any kind of proposal from Liverpool until now," he concluded.
This situation is being closely followed from Barcelona, where FC Barcelona does not lose sight of the Egyptian. The Catalans will look to strengthen their attack for next season and Salah's situation is presented as a great market opportunity, since the player continues to perform at the highest level and could join the team as a free agent.
The next few months will be key in the operation, but, as of today, everything indicates that 'Mo' will put an end to his successful journey in Merseyside in June 2025, becoming one of the 'bargains' of the transfer window.
