Randal Kolo Muani seems to have his days numbered at Paris Saint-Germain. The 26-year-old winger could be a real bargain in 2025, and FC Barcelona already has him in their sights.
Luis Enrique has requested the departure of Randal Kolo Muani, and FC Barcelona could benefit from this decision by the Asturian coach. The 26-year-old winger is experiencing a genuine free fall in the Parisian team, but he remains a very interesting player, capable of contributing significantly in attack from the left flank.
The Parisians shattered the market in the summer of 2023 by paying 95 million euros to Eintracht Frankfurt for his transfer. However, the French international has been far from the expected level, and despite the gap left by Kylian Mbappé, he has only accumulated 453 minutes of action in 14 matches this season (2 goals and 1 assist).
Barça Would Face Strong Competition for Kolo Muani in 2025
In this regard, Barça could enter the bidding for Kolo Muani in 2025, with the Bondy native being a very interesting alternative for a position that the Catalans prioritize reinforcing next summer. The forward's market value has plummeted to 30 million euros, so PSG needs to offload him as soon as possible. However, an immediate transfer would not be a solution, as the player is under contract until 2028.
The most sensible solution points to a loan that would allow Randal to regain his value so that, later, he can be sold for a price much closer to the hefty sum they agreed to pay Eintracht. If this scenario occurs, the Catalans would have options to enter the 'race' for his signing, although other major European clubs like Manchester City and Juventus will also go all out for the Frenchman.
Kolo Muani shone in Frankfurt in the 2022/23 season, with 23 goals and 17 assists in 47 matches. However, in his first season with Paris, his performance dropped to 12 goals and 6 assists in 44 appearances. Luis Enrique has already requested his departure, and now the club must find him a team and ensure that, ultimately, the operation is not as disastrous as it seems.
