Real Madrid is going all out for Dean Huijsen. The whites will attempt to sign him next summer, although the Premier League complicates the operation
Dean Huijsen is one of the trending names in the world of football. The 19-year-old center-back has established himself as one of the great sensations of the Premier League with Bournemouth, which led to him being called up by Luis de la Fuente for the quarter-final match of the Nations League between Spain and the Netherlands, where he was forced to step up after the injury of Pau Cubarsí and did not disappoint.
The player was one of the standout figures in the clash against the 'Oranje' and made it clear to the world that he is destined to become a reference in his position. In fact, several of the major clubs on the continent that were already closely following him have intensified their interest after his performance during the international break, with Real Madrid being the one that is pushing the hardest for his signing.
His attributes (he is 1.97m tall, is ambidextrous, and stands out for his good footwork) and his brutal performance both at the club and in the national team make the defender, born in Amsterdam but naturalized Spanish, one of the most coveted pieces in the market. For this reason, the newspaper 'AS' has revealed that the offices of Santiago Bernabéu have already begun the moves to secure the services of Huijsen for the upcoming season.
Huijsen would like to play for Madrid... but the Premier is lurking
According to the aforementioned source, the defender has confessed to his personal circle his desire to wear the white jersey. In fact, the player has already publicly commented on the rumors linking him to the Madrid team, stating that "it is a great honor for a club like Madrid to have me in their plans", so the whites are confident in successfully completing the operation.
However, securing the signing of Huijsen will not be an easy task, as the competition for his signing is at 'boiling point'. In addition to FC Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool are also after him and seriously threaten his departure from the Premier League. The 'blues', specifically, are willing to offer him a higher salary, so everything will depend on the defender's final desire.
The Bournemouth, for its part, will ask for a fee ranging between 45 and 55 million euros for the transfer of the defender, whose contract expires in 2030 and whose buyout clause is valued at 50 'kilos'. In Chamartín, they hope to secure his signing for a lower amount, although this scenario seems complicated. However, their intentions are firm and concrete, and the 'soap opera' could heat up in the coming weeks.
