FC Barcelona is considering the option of signing a '9' in the next summer market. Dušan Vlahović would have been offered as an option. Will the culé team consider this proposal?

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The 2025-26 summer transfer market, at first glance, presents a series of topics to address for FC Barcelona. One of them is the imminent fact that the Catalan team must consider its options to acquire the services of a natural center forward, a position currently being excellently covered by Robert Lewandowski in this 2024-25 season, with quite encouraging numbers.

However, it is clear that due to the Polish player's contractual situation and the need for generational change, it is necessary to start looking for a high-level alternative to be able to replace him when necessary.

In this regard, just like in other positions, the sports management of Barcelona is evaluating various options that could emerge as great market opportunities. It seems that players like Viktor Gyökeres, a proven alternative in offensive terms, are being ruled out due to the significant economic investment it would entail.

Other elements come into play in this line, such as Erling Haaland, who was liked by Barcelona but recently renewed with Manchester City (2034), indicating that his departure from the Manchester club is not a short-term option. Or Alexander Isak, whose cost also represents a significant obstacle for the Catalan club to attempt to sign him.

Dušan Vlahović has reportedly been offered to Barcelona

In light of this situation, it is not surprising that Barcelona is expanding its range of options to strengthen its forward line. As reported by 'SPORT', one of these options is the 24-year-old Serbian 'killer', Dušan Vlahović, a proven goal scorer at the international level who apparently has been offered as a potential signing candidate for next summer by an agent closely connected to him and the Catalan team.

It is worth noting that Vlahović, under contract with Juventus Turin until June 30, 2026, continues to prove that he can be a key player in the offensive front of the 'Vecchia Signora'. He has played 24 matches, scored 12 goals, and provided two assists in a total of 1880 minutes of play. He has been a regular name in Thiago Motta's starting XI, being substituted only on rare occasions, primarily due to injuries.

Will Barcelona make a move to sign the Serbian 'killer'?

Given this premise, it is considered that if Vlahović does not renew with Juventus, his departure in the summer transfer market of the 2025-26 season could become a feasible reality. Since his contract with 'Juve' is very close to entering its final year, it is likely that the 'Bianconeri' club will seek a transfer that could be done at a lower price than the €80 million they paid for him initially.

Now, it will be necessary to assess whether Barcelona is in a position to make an offer for the Serbian. Additionally, the price that Juventus will set for Vlahović, considering the qualities of a young player who has proven to be a ruthless goal scorer with a wide range of resources in his favor.
