Sporting CP has reduced the asking price for Gyökeres. Despite his release clause being 100 million, the Portuguese would accept an offer between 60 and 70 million

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Viktor Gyökeres will be one of the big 'sweeties' of the 2025 transfer market. The Swedish striker has established himself as one of the great sensations of the season, scoring 14 goals and providing 4 assists in the 14 official matches he has played this season with Sporting CP.

The Nordic player is valued at one memorable performance per night, which is why the continent's big clubs are already following him closely for next summer. FC Barcelona would be among them, since the Blaugrana entity has begun the search for a short or medium-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski and the Portuguese striker is very much liked by the Barça sports management.

His starting price drops drastically

In principle, his operation seemed difficult to assume due to the high cost of his termination clause, which is valued at 100 million euros. However, journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported that the Portuguese club and the player have reached an agreement to close his possible transfer at the end of the season in exchange for a figure that ranges between 60 and 70 million euros.

A much more 'affordable' amount for the Blaugranas, who see the signing of Gyökeres as beginning to be a real alternative. However, the 'race' for the player will be 'tough', since Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have already shown a concrete interest in incorporating him into their ranks.

At the moment, the only certainty that exists regarding his future is that he will complete the course at José Alvalade, but at the end of it all the options will be on the table and at Can Barça they are 'rubbing their hands'.
