The FC Barcelona board has yet to resolve the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. Both have a license to play in LaLiga only until December 31

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The future of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor is not at risk at FC Barcelona. At least not for the second half of 2024/25. Despite not having yet resolved their registrations for next January, the Barça board hopes to resolve both cases in the coming weeks.

Both the playmaker and the former captain of the Barça reserve team were eligible to play until December 31, 2024, taking advantage of the gap left by Andreas Christensen after his injury in the first week of the season.

However, as of January 1, both players will be out of the Barça squad as long as the club continues to exceed its salary margin. The board hopes to soon receive the money corresponding to the new contract with Nike, which should be enough to update the records of both players.

"The president assured it and remains convinced that there will be no problem," a Barça manager told 'SPORT' after the last general assembly. In addition, Barça has yet to bill several millions for the resale of Barça Studios, a 'lever' that has become a serious headache for the club.

Olmo and Víctor's inscriptions are not the only pending issue in winter

In addition to resolving the updating of the files of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, Barça has other folders to resolve for the winter market. Although, at the moment, the board does not plan to make additions, there may be a loan departure.

The footballers who are pointed out as possible discards for the second half of the season are, for now, Ansu Fati, Eric García and Gerard Martín. All three have had minutes while they have been available, especially Eric, who started five games (four in the League).

However, the return of players like Gavi and Frenkie de Jong, along with the pubalgia that ended up leaving him without playing for a month, seem to open the door for him to return to Girona. Ansu, for his part, seems to have a place in Seville, while Gerard has options of moving to Cornellà to gain experience with Espanyol.

The continuity of Andreas Christensen and Ferran Torres is also not assured, but both players prioritize staying and Barça would only let them go through a transfer that seems unlikely due to their respective injuries.
