The future of Vitor Roque strongly points to a return to Brazil a year and a month after his arrival at FC Barcelona. Palmeiras has been pursuing 'Tigrinho' for several weeks, and according to the Argentine portal 'BolaVip', the 'Verdao' has reportedly improved its offer for the 19-year-old forward in recent hours. Initially, the São Paulo team is willing to pay 25 million euros plus variables for the '9', but is also prepared to make an extra effort regarding the player's salary.

In this regard, Palmeiras intends to make Roque the highest-paid player in their squad, a position currently held by 24-year-old winger Paulinho. The player from Rio de Janeiro earns an incredible sum of 18 million euros gross per year, while the forward still owned by Barça would earn around 20 'kilos' (10M € net, a crazy amount for a South American club).

Barça views Vitor Roque's return to Brazil positively

The azulgrana team, meanwhile, is rubbing its hands at the possibility of recovering almost the entire 30M € it paid to Athlético Paranaense last year for his transfer, thanks to the variables set in the agreement. However, Real Betis still has the final say, as the 'verdiblancos' closed the loan of the Timóteo player for one season, with an option for another and the possibility of a transfer for 25M € in 2025 and 30M € in 2026.

Although Manuel Pellegrini's team does not see it feasible to acquire 80% of 'Tigrinho's' sporting rights for that amount, they still consider him an important piece for the second half of the season. The Brazilian market closes at the end of February and Betis would only greenlight the termination of the loan if they receive financial compensation, a condition that Palmeiras is unlikely to accept.

So far this season, Vitor Roque has scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists in 30 matches (1,632 minutes) with the Andalusian team. The 'Verdao', for its part, insists on signing him as soon as possible with an eye on the upcoming edition of the Copa Libertadores and, above all, the Club World Cup, where the Brazilian team will share Group A with Porto, Al-Ahly, and Inter Miami. In Barcelona, the forward knows he is doomed by Hansi Flick and, in the worst-case scenario, will have to look for a team again next summer if Betis decides against extending his loan.
