Barça needs 'air' in its economy to resolve the club's pending files. For this reason, Joan Laporta is preparing the activation of a couple of 'levers' before the market closes to register Olmo and sign a top left winger
The FC Barcelona offices have been on fire in recent days. The Barça entity is rushing its options in the final stretch of the transfer market to achieve the 'fair play' necessary to register Dani Olmo and finalize the arrival of a top left winger. Gündogan's departure for Manchester City represents the saving of the 15 million euro fee that the German was earning, and although this generates space in the salary bill, it is still not enough.
For this reason, the board of directors of the Catalan institution works incessantly to present LaLiga with a couple of 'levers' that will allow them to obtain more salary margin. The first of them would involve paying the remaining 20 million euros of the second payment for the sale of a percentage of Barça Vision. A few weeks ago, the club made official the agreement with Aramark in which the company assumed the 40 'kilos' unpaid by Libero, but the 20 million already mentioned are still missing.
This amount would be deposited by Bridgeburg Invest and the club is already preparing all the documentation to send it to LaLiga and obtain an authorization to cancel the penalty for those 20 million that, to this day, continue to prevent normality when it comes to signing and register footballers. According to 'MARCA', Can Barça are positive about this route and are convinced that they will obtain the 'green light' from LaLiga before the market closes.
More complicated is the second 'lever', which would be the Blaugrana club's new agreement with Nike. The sports management has accelerated the 'exit operation' with the aim of having everything closed before August 30 and for the employers to give their approval. If they achieve it, the culés would take a huge step since this deal would represent a salary margin of approximately 40 million euros, allowing the return to the long-awaited 1/1 rule. However, optimism regarding the new contract with the American multinational is much more restrained than with that of Bridgeburg, but progress is being made in this regard.
Barça is clear about its objective
In parallel with the work carried out in the Spotify Camp Nou offices regarding sponsorship, Deco and his staff continue to seek to close the pending folders regarding exits. Once the departures of Gündogan and Roque are completed, the next person to abandon the 'ship' should be Clément Lenglet, whose departure would free up an important chip although, at the moment, there is no significant progress.
If they obtain the two aforementioned sponsorships, added to the different sales and departures, Barça could assume the arrival of a top left winger such as Rafael Leao or Federico Chiesa, the latter being the 'low cost' option. Nico Williams' name also remains on the 'radar' if he finally decides to leave the ranks of Athletic Club, but first the agreements must be closed and LaLiga gives the definitive 'OK'.
