Barça wants to get rid of Ansu Fati as soon as possible. The Barça entity needs to lighten the squad's salary bill and seeks to place the forward in a new team, so they are considering four alternatives to 'accelerate' the operation
Time begins to run against FC Barcelona in the 'exit operation'. The Barça entity is finding difficulties when registering players, so it needs to reduce the wage bill and Clément Lenglet and Ansu Fati are the main ones indicated. The forward would be the first to leave the club, since the culés maintain permanent contact with his agent, Jorge Mendes, and would have his departure 'on track' through a loan.
Once his transfer to Saudi Arabia was ruled out, the Portuguese representative would handle several alternatives to complete the forward's loan. Bad luck accompanied the footballer this preseason, since when he began to surprise Flick, an injury to the sole of his right foot stopped his preparation for the next season 'suddenly'. For this reason, and although his continuity was under consideration, Barça will follow its initial plan and have put him on the market as loanable, with the aim of saving as much of his salary as possible and including a purchase option at the end of the season.
In that sense, Sevilla has presented itself as one of the teams most interested in incorporating the attacker. Xavier García Pimienta already had him under his command at La Masia and has spoken with the player to 'sell' him on his project. The coach wants to make him the great reference in his scheme and is convinced that he can return him to his best form. However, this option finds its main obstacle in the economic aspect, since the Andalusians cannot assume even 50% of Ansu's salary, which is why the player will have to make a great effort if he wants to reach Nervión.
On the other hand, the newspaper 'SPORT' claims that Benfica has set its sights on Fati after the alternative of Joao Félix's return to Lisbon 'fell'. In the same way, Wolverhampton, a team that Mendes controls perfectly and where several of his clients play, also appears as a 'wild card' for the forward's future. Finally, Olympique Marseille would be the other club interested in Ansu's services after having broken off negotiations with Borussia Dortmund for Youssoufa Moukoko. All these agreements would be closed through a transfer, although the percentages of the winger's salary payment would vary according to the team that ends up incorporating him.
Barça hopes to close this folder as soon as possible
This being the case, and despite the player's injury, Can Barça hopes to resolve this front in the coming days. The Catalans have registered him in LaLiga with the idea of accounting for this savings to be able to register the players who will have a number once his departure is finalized and they trust that one of these options will end up crystallizing as soon as possible. The culés do not contemplate any other scenario other than an exit, with the hope placed on a repetition of what they experienced last summer, where the player signed his loan to Brighton around this time.
