FC Barcelona has added a 'jewel' from Monaco to the list of potential reinforcements for the future. This is Maghnes Akliouche, a winger who dreams of donning the blue and garnet jersey
Maghnes Akliouche is one of the sensations of Ligue 1 this season. The 'jewel' of AS Monaco has shone as a right winger both in the French championship and in the UEFA Champions League, but beyond his great moment with the Principality team, his big dream is to play in LaLiga wearing the blue and garnet jersey.
"My favorite league is the Spanish one, because of its style of play. Besides Monaco, I would love to play for Barcelona", stated the winger in an interview that went viral in recent hours, although it is a video from several seasons ago. Additionally, the player from Tremblay-en-France praised Leo Messi and Sergio Busquets, whom he described as an incredibly underrated player. "Sometimes we don't realize everything he does," he argued.

Maghnes Akliouche, another alternative for Barça's attack?
This season, Akliouche has 4 goals and 5 assists in 21 matches (1,583 minutes) with 'Adi' Hütter's team. One of his 4 goals was scored in Monaco's victory against Barcelona (2-1), so far the only defeat for the Catalans in the Champions League. The winger outmaneuvered Alejandro Balde in a one-on-one and beat Ter Stegen's resistance with a low shot, to the near post of the goal defended by the German.
The 22-year-old attacker is already valued at around 40 million euros on Transfermarkt and would be a very interesting option for Barça, although Lamine Yamal has taken over the right side of the blue and garnet team this season. The player from Tremblay-en-France has a contract until 2028, but he will likely make the leap to a big club in Europe next summer, as he is a very technical, fast player with excellent striking ability.
