The injuries in the Barça forward line are forcing Hansi Flick to look for solutions. The German is reportedly considering moving Balde to the left wing

Calendar of FC Barcelona

A new challenge has been presented to Hansi Flick ahead of the match on Saturday 23 November against Celta in Balaídos. After the defeat against Real Sociedad, FC Barcelona will seek to return to winning ways in an always difficult stadium, and will have to do so with many doubts in attack.

Lamine Yamal, who continues to recover from his ankle injury, is almost ruled out of starting, although according to 'SPORT' he could sit on the bench, while Robert Lewandowski will arrive just because of the back problems that kept him out of the Poland squad for this international break.

For his part, Ansu Fati suffered an injury to the femoral biceps of his right thigh and will be on the dry dock, in principle, for a month. Ferran Torres would be available to the coach again, but would return to the first team gradually to avoid a relapse, leaving Raphinha and Pau Víctor as the 100% healthy forwards.

Hansi Flick plans to 'kick the board'

For this reason, Flick is looking for solutions for the forward line and one of the options he would consider is to move Alejandro Balde forward. The left back has already played as a winger on occasion and would be familiar with the trade, which is why the German would be considering using this alternative as an emergency plan.

However, this would be a remote variant and, in principle, would only be put into practice in the event that Lewandowski cannot be a starter and Pau Víctor must reveal him in the centre of the forward line. If this scenario were to take place, Gerard Martín, who has already made four starts this season, would be in charge of replacing Balde at full-back.
