Robert Lewandowski took advantage of the 'Pilka Nozna' gala to send a message to Barça. The Polish player made it clear to the club that he has no intentions of moving.

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Robert Lewandowski is experiencing a second youth under Hansi Flick. At 36 years old, the Polish player is one of the great figures of FC Barcelona this season, scoring 29 goals and providing 3 assists in the 30 matches he has played across all competitions. Despite the club starting the search for his medium-term replacement, the '9' is happy in the Catalan capital and, as of today, has no intentions of moving.

This was made clear at the gala organized by the Polish weekly 'Pilka Nozna', where the player was awarded as the best player in the country. Although the forward could not physically attend the event, he made an appearance via videoconference where, in addition to thanking for the award, he answered some questions.

"With age, a person becomes more sentimental and begins to notice things that previously escaped their attention. After training at Barcelona, I meet Polish fans every day. Their presence and support are of great importance to me. Often, they have been the ones who lifted my spirits in difficult moments and helped me choose the right direction in my career. I thank them from the bottom of my heart; their support is invaluable to me," 'Lewy' began to say.

His Future at Barça

After his initial reflection, Lewandowski was questioned about his physical condition at 36 years old, to which the Polish player firmly responded, "I am very proud of my age and I am not ashamed of it. I assure you that I have not said my last word yet".

The player also showed his ambition and desire to continue making history at Barça. "I am where I want to be, and my goal is to prove that age is just a number. I can still achieve the same successes I achieved a few years ago. I am very eager to keep playing, and the smile that accompanies me during training and matches never leaves my face. I still want to compete and win more trophies," he stated.

"I am happy and I do not think about other places where I could play"

Finally, Bozedar Iwanow, the presenter of the gala, did not miss the opportunity to ask him about his stance on a possible lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia to take him to the Middle East. "I feel very good at Barcelona, both in the club and among the fans. I am happy and I do not think about other places where I could play", concluded 'Lewy', making it clear that, despite the club searching for his replacement, he does not plan to give up his position in the short term.
