The FC Barcelona is clear that the priority for the January transfer market is to finalize the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. However, if they manage to resolve the financial 'fair play' issues, the Catalans are not closing the door to the possible arrival of some reinforcements as long as they do not represent a significant financial investment.
In this sense, the position that could be bolstered during the winter window would be the left-back, where Hansi Flick only has Alejandro Balde as a reliable option. For this reason, the culés are studying various names and, according to 'AS', one of the most liked is Caio Henrique, who has been on the azulgrana radar for years.
A 'low cost' option for the left-back
The Brazilian from AS Monaco is very much liked in the Catalan capital, where they would view his signing through a loan with an option to buy favorably. At 27 years old, the defender has lost prominence in Adi Hütter's team, playing only 16 matches across all competitions, most of which he did coming off the bench.
Henrique would add quality to the azulgrana defense, as besides playing all along the left flank, he has also been able to perform in more central positions. Additionally, his hierarchy and experience would provide more than optimal competition for Balde and Gerard Martín on the left side of the culé defense, so his name will be one to keep in mind in the coming weeks.
