FC Barcelona seems to have a series of options on its agenda regarding the 'exit operation'. Specifically, three names could be close to saying goodbye soon due to the apparently advanced state of their negotiations. At FCBN we explain who these players are

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The FC Barcelona has started its outbound operation in this summer market 2024/25, which has already involved the departure of no fewer than seven players: Julián Araujo (€10M), Chadi Riad (€3M + €6M corresponding to 50% of the capital gain from his sale from Betis to Crystal Palace), Marc Guiu (€6M), Sergiño Dest (free transfer), Oriol Romeu (loan), Sergi Roberto, and Marcos Alonso (free agents). However, these will not be the last, as it seems that at least four more names could be close to leaving the team: Clément Lenglet, Vitor Roque, and Mika Faye.

The three 'folders' that FC Barcelona expects to close soon

Mika Faye

At this point, the case that seems closest to being resolved is that of the Senegalese defender Mika Faye, who, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano, is set to join Stade Rennes in France. According to Romano, the French club would be willing to offer around €10M for the native of Sédhiou plus a clause that could range between 20% and 25% of a future sale. We will have to wait and see how this transaction unfolds, although it seems that the clubs are close to reaching an agreement.

Clément Lenglet

Speaking of defenders, another case that could be finalized soon is that of Clément Lenglet and his possible move to Atlético Madrid. The Beauvais native would be a request from Diego Simeone to strengthen a defense lacking a left-footed defender. Apparently, the 'colchoneros' have already reached an agreement with the player pending agreement on the modality to conclude this operation, whether through a loan, a transfer, or allowing the player to leave on a free transfer. This move would be a relief for Barcelona's wage structure, benefiting from getting rid of an asset with excessively high wages.

Vitor Roque

Lastly, there's the case of Vitor Roque, whose future seems definitively far from the Catalan capital. The 19-year-old forward, who has not been registered in LaLiga by the Catalan side, seems destined to be sold as the team does not want to loan him this summer for fear that his market value will depreciate if he does not perform well at the loaned club.

However, as mentioned in 'MD', the forward's preference seems to be to stay in Spanish football, with Real Betis, Real Sociedad, and Girona interested in his services, but it also must be considered if any of these clubs are willing to pay the approximately €30-35M requested by the Catalan side for the 'killer'. There are also rumors that Sporting in Portugal and Everton in England are interested in signing the striker.
