TRANSFERS: Battle in LaLiga for Ansu Fati - Girona or Villarreal?

Ansu Fati seems to have his days numbered at FC Barcelona. The latest outburst of anger from the player from Bisáu for not getting minutes against Celta has not gone down well with the coaching staff and the Azulgrana board, so his departure is, at this point, an absolute priority for the summer.

Barça needs to get rid of a player discarded by Hansi Flick and who, in addition, receives a high salary (around 14 million euros gross). This factor conditions the Azulgrana team's options to negotiate a definitive transfer, but there are several clubs interested in the 22-year-old forward.

Villarreal: the ideal destination for Ansu Fati?

In LaLiga, one of the most attentive to the future of the Spanish international is Villarreal. The team led by Marcelino García Toral considers that Ansu can be a differential quality reinforcement in their attack and they are fighting to enter European competitions, including the Champions League.

And, for the moment, Villarreal would be entering the next Champions League as the fifth-placed team in LaLiga. In that sense, at El Madrigal they see Barça's '10' as a very valuable player who can return to his best version if he is given continuity and confidence.

However, the 'Yellow Submarine' would only be interested in negotiating a simple loan for Ansu. The same is true of Girona, a club that has already tried to sign him in the last two markets.

• Real Betis: Has emerged as a recent contender, attracted by the possibility of incorporating Ansu without a high transfer cost. Barça would be willing to cover part of his salary to facilitate a loan.
• Juventus: It is the European club that has taken the first step with an ambitious proposal. They see Ansu Fati as a market opportunity to revitalize their attack. They prefer a loan with an option to buy rather than a direct transfer, considering that Serie A may be a less physically demanding environment for the player to regain his best level.
• Ajax: The biggest club in the Netherlands is interested in a winger with goals and sees Fati as a good option, especially after giving up on other targets due to injuries. Their coach Francesco Farioli is a great admirer of the player.
• Besiktas: Although they have not sent a formal offer, the Turkish club from Istanbul is interested in Ansu Fati. The interest of other Turkish teams such as Fenerbahçe has also been mentioned.
• Tottenham and Manchester United: According to some reports, these English clubs would also be interested in the forward, although no concrete offers have been detailed.
