Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala are two of the wingers in the sights of FC Barcelona for next summer. Both players have already rejected very interesting offers this January from two English clubs

FC Barcelona seems to be a market priority for two of the main German stars of the moment. Both Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala have recently ruled out the first offers of the year from Manchester City and Liverpool, respectively. The latest information indicates the "no" from the 'cracks' of Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich, respectively, both with options to renew in the coming weeks with their teams.

Last week, 'TBR Football' confirmed significant progress in negotiations between the Bavarian board and Musiala, whom the Munich team intends to turn into their franchise player with a record contract. Liverpool, for its part, sees the 21-year-old player as the ideal replacement for Mohamed Salah, who has already confirmed his farewell to the 'reds' at the end of the 2024-25 season. Jamal has a contract until June 2026, and Bayern hopes to renew him before the summer. Otherwise, they will be forced to listen to offers in the range of €90-100M.

Wirtz's situation is similar, although the Leverkusen forward has a contract until 2027. Pep Guardiola is very interested in the Pulheim player to strengthen the attack of the 'sky blue' team, but the '10' prefers to wait until summer to make a decision. The most likely scenario is that the 21-year-old forward decides to leave Bayer once Xabi Alonso's farewell to the bench of the current Bundesliga champion is confirmed. The Spanish coach is the main candidate to replace Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.

Barça is not clear about entering the bidding for Wirtz and Musiala

In this sense, the 'merengue' team could be one of the main rivals of FC Barcelona for Florian next summer, as long as the Barcelona board opts for the German forward as a market priority. Barça has several alternatives on the table to strengthen the left flank (Rafael Leao, Nico Williams...) and, for now, Wirtz seems to be lagging behind due to his high price (around 120 'kilos').

The same goes for Musiala. In Barcelona, they would be delighted to pair the Bavarian forward with Lamine Yamal, with whom he shares several characteristics in his playing style. However, the extremely high salary demands of the Stuttgart player complicate negotiations with a Barça that, while having much more freedom to sign thanks to its return to the 1:1 rule, is not interested in incorporating stratospheric salaries into its squad this summer.
