FC Barcelona still hopes to do business with Al-Hilal for Vitor Roque; However, the Brazilian's position seems to greatly complicate the situation, since he has now raised a new and complex demand to open the door to his possible transfer to Saudi Arabia

If there's one thing that FC Barcelona seems clear about, it's their unequivocal desire to cash in on Vitor Roque, a player who no longer appears to be part of the Blaugrana's sporting plans and for whom they are eagerly seeking a transfer that exceeds €30 million, the amount invested by the Catalan team last year to secure his transfer from Athletico Paranaense. It's also true that a transfer would be a relief for the Barcelona squad in terms of mitigating the impact of 'Tigrinho's' salary on the team's wage bill.

With that in mind, the most favored option by the Catalan side apparently was to sell him to Saudi Arabia, specifically to Al-Hilal, a club that, as reported days ago, had explored the forward's acquisition, being willing to match Barça's financial demands for the transfer. However, the player from Timóteo may have been reluctant to move to the Middle East for football, showing a stronger preference for a potential move to Lazio, a less economically profitable alternative for the team from Barcelona.

The condition Vitor Roque reportedly set for moving to Saudi Arabia

Now, from 'SPORT', it has recently been revealed why Vitor Roque allegedly did not enthusiastically consider the 'Al-Za'eem' proposal. This seems to be purely an economic matter, as while the Arab proposal doubled his current earnings at Barcelona, it apparently did not meet 'Tigrinho's' desires, whose main motivation for moving to Arabia would be financial, thus expecting a significantly higher salary offer.

Based on this, the source suggests this might be a reason for Al-Hilal's diminishing interest in Vitor Roque. The figures proposed didn't align with the Arab side's plans, as they believe that despite the forward showing promising talent, he lacks extensive experience outside Brazil and still has much to prove, which doesn't justify such a high expenditure.

Regarding the potential outcomes of this situation, it remains to be seen since with few attractive transfer proposals for 'Vitinho', it's also not ruled out that the club may end up deciding to loan him to another team this summer. This move is indeed quite risky, as if the striker has a less stellar season at his new club, Barcelona would definitely have fewer chances of recouping their investment in the forward.
