In order for the sale of Vitor Roque al Palmeiras to take place, FC Barcelona must break the previous transfer agreement of 'Tigrinho' to Betis. What would be the compensation for the Andalusians for this break?

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The FC Barcelona seems to have an increasingly promising scenario regarding the sale of Vitor Roque, an issue that must be resolved by the end of this week. It is worth noting that the winter transfer market in Brazil will remain open until February 28th. If 'Tigrinho' eventually integrates into the dynamics of 'Verdao', everything should be settled by then, a feasible option given that the Catalan team, backed by FIFA, has the ability to terminate the loan agreement of the Brazilian with Betis and send him to the Paulista team without having to register him in their squad.

One of the major uncertainties in this case was the role of Real Betis, the team that has a contract with Vitor Roque until June 30, 2025, and evidently, has a say in this transaction as the affected party. Why? Because they would be left without a player who adds depth to their attack, being one of their main goal scorers of the season. Additionally, they do not have the option to bring in a player to replace him as the transfer window in Spain is already closed.

Furthermore, it is not expected that the Andalusian team will receive any financial compensation. As reported by 'SPORT', FC Barcelona does not plan to pay any amount to compensate Real Betis for terminating the loan agreement of Vitor Roque. However, considering the good relationship between both entities, it is expected that some other type of benefit will be offered to the 'verdiblancos'.

The scenarios that FC Barcelona may be considering to compensate Betis

At this point, the mentioned source states that FC Barcelona has considered several scenarios to compensate Real Betis in this matter. One of them could be to waive a percentage of the economic rights of Ez Abde, a player of whom the Catalan team holds 50% of the rights for a potential future transfer.

Moreover, it is not ruled out that FC Barcelona will give priority to Real Betis to have a player on loan from the Catalan club next summer, following the precedent with Vitor Roque. This scenario would be viewed favorably by the Betis sporting management, as they appear to be evaluating the situation of several assets from the Barcelona team who, if they do not fit into the Catalan team's sports project for the next season, could opt for a loan.
