Xavi Hernández will return to the sidelines next season. The Egarense has several clubs after him, although he does not rule out taking charge of a national team

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Xavi Hernández is determined to enjoy his sabbatical year. Since his departure from FC Barcelona at the end of last season, several clubs have approached the Egarense to take the reins of their squads, but the coach has remained firm in his stance of not sitting on a bench this season and has rejected all these proposals.

After a exhausting stint at the Spotify Camp Nou, the former midfielder's idea has been to start a new adventure from scratch, dismissing any possibility of taking over a team mid-season. For this reason, the coach would have turned down approaches from clubs like Manchester United or Juventus, as his goal is to build a competitive project from the ground up.

In this sense, the newspaper 'SPORT' has reported that from Xavi's surroundings, it is revealed that, without a doubt, the Egarense will return to the sidelines next season. Hernández is determined to coach next year, although he will not take charge of just any team.

Xavi's key condition to sign with a new team

His plan is to stay in European football and at an important club, although he does not close the door on a national team, since a historic team like Brazil showed interest in him in the past and could attempt to contract him again.

In this new adventure, the coach would like to continue having his trusted men, starting with his brother, Óscar Hernández, as well as Sergio Alegre, currently an assistant to Félix Sánchez at Al Sadd, and the trio of analysts consisting of Sergio García, David Prats, and Toni Lobo, with the latter two working at Al Shamal.

What is clear is that Xavi only thinks about staying in the elite of European football and does not consider moving to the United States or Qatar. Both the 'red devils' and the 'Vecchia Signora' are keeping an eye on his situation, although the coach will likely have more offers in his pocket after making it clear that he is fully capable of leading a winning project.
